Celebration Cell Groups

“Day after day, in the temple courts and from house to house, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Christ." Acts 5:42

Celebration Church endeavors to create a ministry lifestyle based on the patterns and principles found in the Word of God. The early New Testament church met together both in their homes in smaller groups as well as meeting as an entire congregation in the temple. We follow this pattern in our family of churches worldwide and have found that not only do cell groups provide effective personal ministry and quality care of local church members but they are great building blocks to planting churches in new cities and communities. Cells represent our lifestyle within our value system.

A cell group is a community of between six and fifteen people that meet weekly in a home group setting to make application of the message preached during the week. Cells provide an atmosphere for individual  evangelism, discipleship, nurturing, and being equipped to serve the Body of Christ. The meetings encourage members to be accountable as well as exercise and develop their spiritual gifts, and pray for the ministry, its leaders, and each other. Cell meetings have been held since 1984 when the inaugural gathering boasting five members including Pastors Tom and Bonnie Deuschle was held in their home.  We’ve often said “in order to grow larger, we must grow simpler,”- This is the way of cells. The work of one complements the other as pastoring of the flock continues at a more personalized level within the group framework.
