Celebration International Prayer Ministries has a mandate to strengthen and enlarge the foundations and disciplines of prayer throughout the network of churches worldwide, encouraging creative corporate expressions regionally, and in state or country settings.

We believe that as we access our God given Spheres of Influence and engage in prayer and affirmation of the Word of God, we can affect purposeful change in specific situations and bring about measurable results in the domains in which we are praying.

The International Prayer Ministry was formally established in 2005. However, prayer has always played a part in the ministries lifestyle. Since May of 1989 early Morning Prayer meetings were held weekly followed by a popular prayer teaching evening also held weekly.

Pastors Tom and Bonnie Deuschle, initiated a strategy to impact society and with the assistance of key leaders in the Prayer Ministry, establishing targeted prayer around 12 domains. The domains were identified and became know as spheres of influence and the initiative was subsequently branded as “Domain Prayer”. The domains consist of the following areas: Business, Economics, Agriculture, Church, Government, Family, Education, Health, Science & Technology, Arts & Media and Entertainment & Sports.

Activities in the prayer ministry are both varied and powerful. Each year our annual prayer conference, held each January, attracts delegates from around the world. The conference concludes a ministry wide corporate 21 day fast that usually begins on or around the 10th of January.

Celebration Centre, in Harare, is well known for its 24 hour prayer room, where 24/7 (24 hours a day, seven days a week) prayer is becoming the accepted norm in the church, as people find there way to the church at all hours of day and night to minister before the Lord.

Special prayer marathons are often orchestrated by the prayer department to focus on upcoming events or pressing issues of the day being faced by the nation at or the ministry at any given time.

The Prayer department is the thread that ties every facet of the ministry together and is available to be mobilized to stand behind and push forward any endeavours of the ministry.

The prayer department also host several classes on the weekend teaching people how to pray in their domains and the different types of prayer since 2008. The fascinating history of the Prayer Ministry is told in the compelling book on prayer by Pastor Tom Deuschle called, ‘Surgical Prayer.”
