Celebration Churches was founded by Pastor Tom and Bonnie Deuschle.“Building people, building dreams, building the Kingdom of God ”, driving their mission of “transforming lives and reforming nations.” In 1979 Pastor Tom left Denver Colorado and arrived in war-torn Rhodesia with a guitar, USD $700 and a call of God to preach the gospel. Shortly after that he started the church. Preaching, teaching and multiplying the Gospel with a mission of “Transforming Lives, Reforming Nations.”
Working in Zimbabwe now for over 30 years Pastors Tom and Bonnie Deuschle have kept their vision to see Kingdom-minded people live a more active role in transforming society. Today there are over 80 celebration churches around the world. These different churches are Word based and discipleship focused. The churches are also active in helping mobilize significant volumes of resources and devotion to alleviate the crisis in Zimbabwe’s health sector through Celebration Health outreaches.
Celebrate International, the community impact arm of the churches, facilitates national and international initiatives focusing on education, business, marketplace and economic development, healthcare, HIV/AIDS relief and prevention, as well as caring for orphans and widows. Celebration maintains several community based divisions which operate a successful primary and high school, college, conferencing and banqueting services, as well as several relief and development programs for displaces people, vulnerable children and young people living with HIV/AIDS and other diseases. Their Ministry brings practical teaching, inspirational praise and worship and the message for reformation to the world. Their flagship base is at the Celebration Centre located in Harare, Zimbabwe.
